I personally use Aweber as I have found them very reliable in delivering my emails. The basics are that you get people to sign up to receive emails from you that contain information about your business or products you are promoting. Your autoresponder then starts to send the email messages to these potential customers at the intervals that you have set up previously in your back office. Here is how you do this. Web Forms In the back office of Aweber you are able to build web forms. What are they you may ask? These are the forms that you see on various websites asking you to sign up for a newsletter or course. When you add your details to these forms you automatically start getting emails from the sites owner. You would build one of these web forms and add a code that you are given to your blog or site. You would offer a free gift such as a free report,ebook or course in return for their name and email address. People would then start to receive your follow up messages. Follow Up Messages Before you add your web form to your blog or site, you need to set up your follow up messages. So that people will start to receive them as soon as they sign up. You can add any amount of email messages in here that you want. You then set the emails to follow each other at regular intervals. Your first one will be sent as soon as someone signs up. You can then send them the next one a day later, and then the next the day etc-¦. If you are putting lots of follow up messages in you may after the first 4 or 5 days or so start leaving a 2 day gap before the next one. This is so people don’t start getting fed up with all the emails you are sending them and unsubscribe. Broadcasts Another feature in email autoresponders is the broadcast. This let’s you email all your sign ups(your list) at the same time with a message, maybe about a webinar or special offer that you want them to hear about. This is a feature that you will find very handy in your business. Just don’t overdo it. As you can see these email autoresponders are tools that will be very helpful in saving you the time and effort of replying to countless emails every day.
