Your Home Based Business Environment

So, you have finally chosen to open a new home-based business. Have you considered with your new opening, the type of physical environment that you will be working in?When you go shopping in a store, what is the first thing that you notice?I notice whether or not the store is clean, smells good, has a good feel about it, and whether or not the physical environment will be conducive to making my shopping experience enjoyable. This ‘first impression’ happens all within the first few seconds upon entering the business environment. So the owner of any business has a responsibility to make the physical environment of the store (or business) enjoyable to come to work in. You can always sense the pride an owner places in their business by its general overall appearance. A successful business, one that patrons want to return to, are also places that the owner and workers truly want to return to work in every day.People venturing into a home-based business or internet network marketing business usually overlook this very key element when building their business environment! Many home-based business start-ups think: “Who cares about the way my business looks?… No one is going to see me…..Right?”…WRONG!!!If we don’t create a positive, clean, and productive physical environment your business will likely feel less important than it should be… to you and your potential partners. So, what are the considerations necessary to make your home based business environment invigorating?1. Color It is a known fact that color can alter moods, attitudes, and productivity. Colors such as yellow or lighter oranges need to be used sparingly and only to fit a personality. But, keep in mind they are very energizing colors. White is too stark, yet comes off with a clean look. But,if you are in a bright area for extended periods, white can cause eye strain while working on the computer. Browns, although very warm, should be left to the furniture as accent colors. The one color that seems to stand out for a clean, energetic, yet calming effect, is “blue.” Soft light blues, not dark blues. 2. Dual purpose Don’t tuck yourself away in a closet, laundry room or playroom. This is your office and the purpose of the space is office work. Strive to create an environment that is conducive to creativity and production. And, remember, your business requires privacy at times to maintain confidentiality. So consider converting the extra bedroom with a door that closes into an office.3. Make it Enjoyable Create a room that will be the happiest place in your home to go to. Surround yourself with family pictures and motivational posters and things that make you smile. Include a white-board or bulletin-board with your goals clearly written out to view every day. 4. Make it comfortable Decorate your room to suit the creative side of your personality. Plush pillows on a sofa, soft lighting, comfortable office chair. Make it a “No Stress Zone.”5. Furniture You want your office to look professional without the ‘board-room’ feel. Once you have the comfort down as stated above, you still want to have the look and feel of success. The furniture that you put in your room should motivate you and calm you and allow yourself to visualize your success. So now that you have your comfortable and professional home based environment set… keep it clean! This means paperwork as well. By staying organized and focused, your goals will be more attainable. By changing your physical environment you will be changing your life and income potential, all you need to do now is pick the best network marketing opportunity that you may grow and thrive in.
