Have You Forgotten Customer Service!

Have you ever gone to a web site and the sales letter was so great that you thought I need to purchase this product as it will help in my marketing plan?
You purchase the product, and after you download it you find problems getting it to perform like the sales letter said it would.

So back to the web site you go to ask for a refund, and guess what, there is absolutely nothing on the web site giving any information about who the seller is.
No name, no address, no phone number and no email address.
Guess what, you have just been scammed. I have had this happen more than once in my six years of marketing.
After having this happen a few times, we get wise to the tricks that go on here on the internet.
If I am looking to purchase anything on the internet now, the first thing I look for on arriving at a web site is, do they think enough of their product to give their name address etc.
If I cannot find that I move on no matter how good of a sales letter they have. You should remember this if you would like to build your reputation on the internet.
If a person hides behind their web page in my opinion they are hiding something and I click away. I am sure there are a lot of people who feel the same.
The customer is always right, is still true today as it has always been.
Make sure to list all your info on all your web pages. The customer will think of you as a professional not a scam artist.
I think we sometimes get so tied up in our marketing that we sometimes take for granted that if we put up a page and promote, that we will make sales.
Don’t ever forget what you felt the times you were scammed, and I think most of us have had that happen.
My motto is and always will be to treat others as I like to be treated. If they purchase from me they are not only my customer I hope they are also my friend.

Is Cesar Millan The Gay Communities Supernanny

OK, I admit, I’ve gotten sucked into episodes of ‘‘The Dog Whisperer” and been intrigued by Cesar Millan’s magic with canines. The guy’s likable enough, and he’s an animal lover (I presume), so I give him points for that. And I’ve even tried his training methods (sort of) with my dopey but headstrong Rottweiler. But for some reason I’m not completely sold. The skeptic in me says that this Mexican guy hit the jackpot one day when he realized he could make a buck by convincing desperate shitzu/pitbull/goldendoodle/shepherd owners that he could rehabilitate their growly, ill-behaved terrors.

You see, I don’t quite get how the whole thing works. Have you seen the show? If not, basically Cesar is summoned to the home of an exasperate dog owner who has allowed her pet to run her life. Naturally they show film footage of the dog at its worst, perhaps barking viciously at the mailman or devouring the neighbor’s kitty. The dog, it seems, is a lost cause. But have faith! Cesar Millan has arrived! And within the course of a visit, it seems, he has squashed the offending animal’s spirit and cast his odd spell on it. And all it took was a few strong yanks of the leash accompanied by an odd ‘‘SSSTT!” sound! Plu-eeeze. Now, obviously Cesar is a trained, accomplished animal behaviorist, and his methods seem to work… somehow. But even I know that rehabilitating a wayward animal takes more than a few leash tugs and some strange nonhuman verbal cue. There must be more that they’re not showing us. Like when that evil Chow nipped two of Cesar’s fingers off and he lobotomized it afterward; or when they performed vocal chord surgery on that yappy terrier. Suppose that’s not suitable family viewing. My other major problem with Cesar is that he insists on treating these dogs like…. like, well, dogs! He frowns on allowing them on the furniture… he discourages ‘‘baby talking” to them… he insists they don’t share our food…. and, worst of all, he bans them from his bedroom. Huh? If I didn’t have my dog to snuggle with each night, who would keep me warm and toasty (suppose my partner could… but let’s keep her out of this).

Anyway, my point is, Cesar doesn’t approve of assigning human qualities to our dogs. Don’t ask me why. I’ve had dogs that are more human than, well, some humans I know! They’ve certainly exhibited more feelings and emotions than those humans, and more loyalty, and more devotion, and more consistency, and more love. Anyway, those are my problems with Cesar. Of course, if Mr. Millan were to show up at my doorstep one day, I’d invite him in. In fact, I might even ask him about this barking problem I’m having with one of my dogs, and this aggression problem I’m having with another. Oh, and maybe he could help me sort out why my little boxer insists on picking on big dogs that can devour her in one bite. Ahh, who am I kidding. I could use Cesar’s advice, and I’m in awe at his magic touch with animals. I love his show, and I try to follow his advice. In fact, I wish I could communicate with dogs as well as he can. The bottom line, you see, is this: I’m jealous.

How To Speed Up Your Broadband Internet Connection – Make Broadband Really Fast Again

Broadband running slow? Your Internet is tricking along? This problem could be caused by a number of potential problems – but is almost always caused by a certain part of your computer called the “registry”. This is a database which all Windows PCs use to store important options & settings, and is vital for the continued smooth operation of your system. If you are experiencing slow Internet speeds, you have to be able to repair any of the potential problems that Windows could have inside – which can be done by using the steps on this page. Why Do Broadband Connections Run Slow? There are a lot of potential reasons why broadband Internet connections will run slower, with everything from the Internet speed itself being slow to your computer to your system having software that doesn’t work correctly. The problem that many people have is that they simply don’t know what can be causing their Internet connections to run slower – preventing them from improving the speed again. Here are some of the problems that can cause it to run slower:Your computer is trying to use too many programs on the Internet
Your PC does not have sufficient Internet bandwith (is sharing with the likes of network PCs)
Your computer is not able to read the settings & options that your computer needs to runHow To Make Your Broadband Run Faster1) Stop any unnecessary programs from running – The first step is to stop any programs from running which you don’t want / need on your PC. This can be done by clicking onto “Start” and then selecting “Control Panel”, followed by “Add / Remove Programs”. This will allow you to select the applications you don’t want, and uninstall them from your system.2) Make sure your network computers are working correctly – The next step is to make sure that you don’t have any computers on your network which are taking up valuable Internet bandwidth. We’ve found that if a networked machine (I.E the likes of a games console or other PC) will be using up too much Internet bandwith, your Internet connection will slow down as a result. To fix this, you should make sure that your networked PCs are not running too many Internet connections / programs3) Clean Out The Registry Of Your PC – Finally, you need to be able to clean out any registry errors that you may have on your system. The registry is a central database which stores all the important settings & options for Windows inside, and is where the likes of your Internet favorites and connection settings are kept. If you’re experiencing any problems on your system, it’s likely caused by registry errors – meaning that if you want to fix these problems, you should clean out the registry database of your PC by downloading a registry cleaner onto your system & fixing it for good.

Obesity and Its Effects on Your Health

Obesity is responsible for an increasing number of deaths worldwide each year and the sad thing is that it is, in most cases, preventable. In europe for example it is estimated that over one million deaths per year can be attributed to obesity. You are considered to be obese if your BMI (body mass index) is 25.0 or above. The more obese you are the more likely you are to shorten your life expectancy. If your BMI is between 30-35 you can expect your life expectancy to be reduced by two to four years and if you are extremely obese with a BMI over 40 you are likely to reduce your life expectancy by as much as ten years.People who suffer from obesity are far more likely to suffer from heart disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes and breathing difficulties. It has also been associated with certain types of cancer and other diseases such as osteoarthritis. The main cause of obesity is a combination of excessive calorie intake and insufficient physical activity. There are other factors that can cause obesity such as medication, psychiatric disorders and inherited gene disorders but these account for a very small percentage of the overall number of cases.Over the past ten to twenty years the instances of obesity has grown significantly. In the western world we are all tending to lead far more sedentary lifestyles than we have in the past. Many of the tasks that were commonly undertaken in the past have been mechanised making them less physically demanding which means that we burn off less calories carrying out the task than we would in the past. In younger people in particular there is a tendency towards spending leisure time playing computer games and watching television rather than participating in strenuous sporting activities. We are also, on average, consuming a greater number of calories on a daily basis than in previous years. Studies have shown that there is a direct link between the increased consumption of fast food, which tend to have a high calorie content, and instances of obesity. Interestingly a high percentage of these calories are from carbohydrate consumption rather than excessive fat consumption. We are also drinking far more soft drinks and sweetened beverages than we used to do and studies have indicated that approximately twenty five percent of the calories consumed by young adults in america are from sweetened beverages of one sort or another.Obesity has now reached epidemic proportions in the western world and there is no indication that the trend is likely to change. In most cases obesity is caused by the choices we make and by making the choice to change our eating and exercising habits could increase our life expectancy.

Is Fan Fiction a Good Writing Practice

I’ve been following an interesting thread of conversation on a writing message board: a debate as to whether or not the practice of writing fan fiction is healthy for an aspiring writer.

By definition: “fan fiction” are stories involving characters from a television series or movie, written by fans and usually printed in underground magazines or on the Internet for other fans to enjoy. This concept is especially popular among fans of science fiction programs, and writers of all skill levels participate. For the serious fan fiction writer, there are even science-fiction conventions which present annual awards for the best-written prose. Stories may range from histories explaining gaps in a particular TV show’s canon (e.g. what has the cast of House been up to between seasons one and two?) to rather silly missives—I once found on the Internet a Star Trek story where all of the characters had been replaced by the cast of Desperate Housewives!

Is fan fiction a healthy exercise? For one, it technically is not a legal exercise, as all television and movie characters are protected by copyright. Since fan fiction is essentially a non-profit enterprise, however, most production companies tend to turn a blind eye to the activity. Rene Balcer, an executive producer of the show Law and Order, once told a fan e-zine that he did not mind the fan fiction based upon his show, and this appears to be the general consensus so long as a writer does not try to sell his/her work.

Having written fan fiction in the past, I can say that the practice as a writing exercise has its pros and cons:

PRO – During my heaviest bouts with writer’s block, writing a story about a familiar character helped loosen the spigot. Once I pondered what would happen if Dr. Sam Beckett of Quantum Leap traveled back in time to M*A*S*H’s 4077th unit, and the result was a 20,000-word story.

CON – Fan fiction can be addictive, and if you devote too much time to the exercise you may find creating original work difficult. If you post stories to the Internet and attract a fan base, you may find yourself writing more to please this small faction of people, and that will take you away from your true calling.

PRO – While writing fan fiction I found my knack for writing smooth dialogue improving.

CON – I also found I tended to use my best “bits” for such a story, leaving the well dry when it came time to write something more serious.

PRO – By posting my fan fiction to the Internet, I was able to attract readers who in turn were led to my website and information about my book. One fan even wrote to say he had bought my book after reading my fan fiction.

CON – I’ll try not to stereotype fan fiction readers, but if you have ever visited an online repository of fan fiction you may notice a majority of stories not only portray scenes people would like to see on their favorite shows, but scenes even HBO won’t show after eleven at night. Some may argue writing fan fiction is not good for the writer’s ego, but reading some of what is posted is certainly not good if you’re at work and the boss sees you! I do write romance that is spicy, but there are lines even I won’t cross.

Should you write fan fiction as a writing exercise? A few years I may have defended its importance, but now I would suggest alternative writing exercises, ones designed to improve your writing skills and help you to become less dependent on ready-made situations. Should the pull to write a story about Agents Mulder and Scully be too strong, however, why not take the opportunity to introduce your own characters? Let Mulder, Scully, Dr. House, and all your favorite characters inspire what you want to write, but make sure the end product is all your own.

How to search efficient Real Estate Agents

Finding an efficient real estate agent can be a daunting task as they are relatively few in numbers. It is often said that 20% of the real estate agents do 80% of the business. The agent best suited for you must be an experienced professional who will listen to you, carry out the tasks in an ethical manner and knows your requirements.
All Realtors are licensed to sell real estate and function as an agent but not all real estate agents can be called realtors. Only registered realtors can display the Realtor logo. Registered realtors® belong to the National Association of Realtors and are bound by the Code of Ethics, a comprehensive list containing 17 articles and underlying standards of business practice.
It is a fact that most real estate agents remain in business because their satisfied clients refer them to friends, family, neighbors and colleagues. You can therefore ask the people known to you who they hired and ask them to describe their experiences various real estate agents. Successful agents make customer satisfaction their number one priority. Try to find agents who go above and beyond their responsibilities. You can even ask other real estate agents for referrals. Agents are happy to refer buyers and sellers to associates, especially if the service you need is not a specialty of the agent who is referring you.

There are plenty of Web sites that will refer agents to you though there is no assurance they will be competent. It is likely that the agents they refer are those who have paid the Web site owners a fee to be listed in their directory. Instead it is better to Google the top real estate companies in your area, visit those Web sites and look up profiles of individual agents and their customer testimonials.
Attending open houses will enable you to meet real estate agents in a friendly working environment. Collect their business cards and make notes on them. Pay attention to the listing signs in your neighborhood. Make note of the day they go up and when the sold sign appears. The agent who sells listings the fastest might be the one you should engage. If an agent is result-oriented, he is understandably the more efficient and better organized agent.
Get a copy of the agent’s production record. From the agent’s production record, you can find out how many homes the agent has sold per year, how much they were sold for and where they were located.

Knowledgeable consumers interview potential real estate agents before finally deciding on whom to hire. A few of the questions you can ask him to assess his worth are:
-How long have you been in the business?
-What is your average list-price-to-sales-price ratio?
-What is your best strategy to meet my needs?
-Will you provide references?
-What are the few things that separate you from the other agents?
A good agent will not hesitate to answer these questions.
-May I see copies of the forms that I will be asked to sign?
-How much do you charge?
-What kind of guarantee do you offer?
