Just a word from the celebrity during the interviews about the coffee that they are drinking is worth millions in exposure to the keurig brand. That is the reason why I say that this is a coup for keurig. The background is, keurig has been chosen as the gift for participants during the Golden Globe ceremony, and so all the participants would receive a set of keurig coffee maker together with a few months supply of k-cups coffee. And the viral marketing effect of this campaign would not even stop after the ceremony. These are celebrities that do plenty of interviews and talk shows, and coffee is a common interviewing topic. So, by supplying them with keurig coffee, their brand would be exposed to the audience in the many following months. Of course, when fans know what their idols are drinking, keurig can be assured that they would also be purchasing the same machine and coffee to emulate their idol. What can I say, keurig market growth would grow significantly in the next few months, pending a few good words from the celebrities that used these machines.
